A Proper Holiday

Robert and I booked our 5th anniversary trip to London and Paris yesterday! We got engaged at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Las Vegas so we thought it would be neat / romantic to visit the real thing for our anniversary. I hope it's as beautiful in person as it is in this lovely photo.

Is it too touristy to take a picture in a red phone booth? Because I'm going to.

This trip is my new excuse for shopping (as if I need one). I am trying to dress impossibly chic while I'm there - why I do not dress that way in the US, I do not know. Here are some things I want for the trip:

  • Cropped black faux fur jacket (Express) - probably sounds ugly, but I swear it's not

  • Khaki trench coat

  • Scarves that aren't pashminas

  • Blue & white striped shirt

  • Black booties to wear with tights and a dress

  • Michael Kors purse (exactly which one TBD, but from the outlet)

  • Passport cover/holder

  • Long black light weight gloves

  • Dark slim fitting jeans for Robert (not girly, but not baggy dudely jeans like he currently has)

  • A lesson in French

  • A new camera (those of you who have seen mine *New Orleans* understand)

  • I don't think all those things are too unreasonable...

We've got the flights booked, now we need to book hotels. We are getting advice from people about where to stay and will hopefully be able to use some SW points to get a few free nights. I'm all about the credit card award points right now (thank you Continental OnePass card for a free round trip for me! and thanks Iliana for telling me about it and getting me to listen to you).

I would love advice on where to stay, what to do, what to eat, what to wear, how to say "how much" in French!

You always look lovely anytime I see you. You already are impossibly chic.
